HISTORY

Roulette is one of the oldest and most popular games played in modern Casinos. Roulette is a unique table game as it has a mechanical device as the main element of the game. This is the Roulette (ruleta) wheel that is mounted horizontally on the end of the table. The wheel has numbered pockets ranging from 0 to 36 - and 00 in American Style Roulette.

RULES

In Roulette the bets are placed on an area of the table marked with separate boxes containing individual numbers. This marked area is called the game layout, and you may place bets on any particular number, any 4 adjacent numbers, a column or a dozen bet.

The wheel determines the outcome of a game of Roulette. Once the bets have been placed on the table, the wheel starts spinning and a small ball is released on to the wheel in the opposite direction of the spinning wheel. The ball slows and eventually stops in one of the numbered pockets in the Roulette wheel.

The Spin button will start a game of Roulette by setting the wheel in motion and releasing the ball on to the wheel. You will only be allowed to spin if you have enough credits available to match the chips placed on the table.

The types of bets that can be placed on the Roulette table are:

Straight Bet
This is a bet placed on any single number. Odds of 35:1 are paid on a winning bet.

Split Bet
Also known as a Two Number bet, this bet is place on any line that divides two adjacent numbers. It is a bet that either of those two numbers will come up. Odds of 17:1 are paid on a winning bet.

Street Bet

Square Bet
Also known as a Corner bet, this bet is placed on the intersection of four numbers. It is a bet that one of these four numbers will come up. Odds of 8:1 are paid on a winning bet.

Line Bet

There are two basic steps to follow to play a game of Roulette.

First, you must decide on the numbers, or groups of numbers, that you want to bet on. To place your bets on these numbers, left-click on the table felt. You can place chips on individual numbers or on the borders shared by two or more numbers. If you want to decrease or remove a bet from the table, right-click the chip pile.

Once you have placed your bet, click the Spin button to start the game. The Roulette wheel will start spinning and a small ball will be released on to the wheel in the opposite direction of the spinning wheel. The ball will lose speed and eventually stop in one of the numbered pockets in the wheel.

If the ball lands on a number that you have bet on, then you have won. To find out how much each bet is worth, refer to the Table Odds section.
